When Cody Parker started First Response Moving seven years ago, he did not begin with a fleet of trucks or multiple crews. He started with one team and a clear standard: serve people well, especially during moments that feel overwhelming. "At the end of the day, they told us they didn't think it could go that smoothly," Parker recalled. "That meant everything. It reminded us why we approach every move the way we do."
Despite its growth, First Response Moving has intentionally remained a single crew operation. Parker explained that this decision protects quality. A significant part of First Response Moving's identity is its partnership with Miracle Food Network, a local organization that distributes food and essential items to families in need. During moves, clients often find unopened food, clothing, blankets, or household goods they no longer plan to take with them. Instead of discarding those items, the company offers to sort and deliver donations directly to the nonprofit.
"I want us to be known as the company that shows up, does the job right, treats people well, and gives back," Parker said. After seven years, the company's direction remains grounded in the same principle it started with: service first.
